Xfig eepic incorrect export setlength unitlength 0

I am using Xfig to export figures to eepic, and use these in Latex.

The export function is not functioning properly. If I set the magnification to be anything less than 100%, I get a

 \setlength{\unitlength}{0.00000000in}

in the eepic file, which effectively sets the magnification to 0%. This is in Ubuntu 14.04.

How can I fix this?
